WALTON COUNTY, FLA— A Santa Rosa Beach man is arrested on more than 35 felony counts of possession of child pornography after a search warrant conducted Wednesday by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and the North Florida Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Nathan Leon Babb, 45, of 261 Wayne Trail was arrested and charged with 37 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of transmission of child porn, and one count of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony.
The charges stem from an investigation between the Walton County Sheriff’s Office and the Department of Homeland Security that resulted in a search warrant at the residence on October 25th.
During an interview, Babb admitted to downloading the child pornography and led investigators to a USB where additional files were located.
All of the items found in Babb’s possession show pre-teen and sometimes very small children as victims of sexual acts. Some of the videos depict 7 – 11-year-old kids forced into sexual acts with animals.
“This is a disgusting and intolerable epidemic that the Walton County Sheriff’s Office will continue to battle,” said Sheriff Michael Adkinson. “Our purpose is to protect the vulnerable from harm; our children are our future and we all must do more to shield them from these predators.”
Babb was arrested and transported to the Walton County Jail. He was given a $20,000 bond and is still incarcerated at the time of this release.
